Swimmers will need to show they are capable to swim freestyle with bi-lateral breathing and backstroke with consistent technique for 8m. In this level swimmer will continue work on their technique and are introduced to butterfly and breaststroke arm.
Swimmers should be able to swim freestyle with bubble and kick for approximately 6m. They are also capable of back kicks. Side breathing in freestyle, backstroke, dolphin kicks and somersault are taught in this level.
This is the first level in the Main Pool. Swimmers are capable of swimming freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly with consistent technique. In JD swimmers will work on improving their endurance and be introduced to additional turns and standing dives.
Swimmers in Mini Squad are capable of swimming all four strokes with consistent technique. In this level, swimmers will be taught all four strokes turns and to prepare for the squad programs.
Swimmers will have minimal or no previous swimming experience. Swimmers will be taught water confidence.
Swimmers would be capable of floating on their front and back. They should be also able to paddle and kick. Swimmers will be introduced to freestyle arm and back kicks.
Swimmers should be capable of swimming freestyle and back with consistent technique. On completion of Level 5, swimmer will be able to swim all four strokes with consistent technique. Swimmer will also be capable of a freestyle tumble turn. This is also the last level in the Learn to Swim Pool.
